Back to the States

After a dizzying two weeks in South Korea, I'm back in Philly, back to work, and slowly trying to get back in my own work. I think I'm feeling the post-school let down at the moment, so it's a bit difficult at the moment.

I won't turn this into a vacation slideshow, but just some of the more inspiring images from my trip.

And some travel-ready cases for my sketchbook and pencils I made just before my trip:

The red one is a roman shade pattern, a little crooked, but I don't mind so much. The pencil case is just a quick little stripey design.

While I love the pastel tones of the pencil case, it got dirty really fast.

I also brought along my cathedral window project on my trip, it's growing.

This, like the two coat, is going to be one of those long-term projects.

  1. The cathedral window's are being used as a band for the skirt, or the entire skirt? What is the first photo a picture of?

  2. the entire skirt, but I've only got the first little strip done...so I've got the very top of the skirt, essentially.

  3. I keep coming back to look at your cathedral window quilt glory... seriously.

I love the intricate simplicity of it... contradictory sounding, but fitting
